During summer months I tend to use less make-up and lighter skincare and body care formulations as our skin requires a different kind of nourishment and protection during warm months of the year, as opposed to freezing ones.
I have narrowed my choice down to three eye creams that will give you a well-rounded choice, depending on what problems you need to address when it comes to your eye area care.
Oskia Eye Wonder: this gel like formula feels as light as water when you apply it. It’s a rare eye cream that I generally apply around the eye area-on my eye lid and under my eyes. It contains anti-oxidants, peptides and youth boosting ingredients that help to smooth the tiny lines we all seem to be getting from our mid 30s, lighten the dark shadows ( that come from our lack of sleep ), reduce puffiness and brighten the under eye area. You can keep it in the fridge if the weather is particularly hot and you want a cooling sensation.
£58 for 15 mls ( which last you at least two to three months, as you only need a tiny bit -the pump can play up at times and give you more than you need )
Estee Lauder Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator: this lovely eye cream comes with a ceramic applicator at the end that feels nicely cool as you apply the cream under your eyes. It comes in two shades and instantly ‘wakes up’ your under eye area and illuminates it, thus hiding dark shadows and evening out the delicate under eye area. £40 for 15 mls
Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream ( brightens & de-puffs ): this light cream is perfect for your morning skincare routine and when you apply it, you might realise you don’t even need to use the concealer on top of it. It contains caffeine from coffee bean, ginseng and magnolia extract and works nicely on all skin types. £21 for 15 mls
